The ArgusLeader is reporting a fire at the POET Biorefining facility in Chancellor, SD. The plant produces 100 million gallons per year of ethanol and is POET's largest plant.
Details about the blaze were not immediately available late Monday evening.

Update : According to
KELOLAND.com there was no major damage or injuries and the fire was quickly brought under control.

Sounds like not too serious - fires in the DDG dryers are not uncommon.

Phil,
I think you are right. From reading the news reports and comments made by POET spokesman Nathan Schock on Twitter, I think it sounded a lot more exciting in the beginning than what it turned out to be. I am especially glad that there were no injuries.
